Electricity and horsepower collide here, speed and passion play out here, and Yude Yalike ensures that horse racing runs “without feeling”

Guangzhou, 23 March 2019 – The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) and the Conghua District People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality have partnered to host the first fully demonstrative world-class speed equestrian competition at Conghua Racecourse, with five races between world-class trainers and world-class jockeys. It is reported that this is also the first time that a Hong Kong horse has participated in a speed equestrian competition in the Mainland.

Carrie Lam, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Ma Xingrui, Governor of Guangdong Province, Zhang Xiaoming, Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, and Wang Zhimin, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Hong Kong, attended the game. A further 1,700 spectators witnessed the historic moment.
